What if a candidate wants to attempt both Paper 2 and Paper 3?
- JEE Main candidates who wish to attempt both Paper 2 and 3, are allotted a total time of 3 hours 30 minutes
- The total of 210 minutes can be utilised accordingly for 4 sections namely – Mathematics, Aptitude, Planning and Drawing
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2022 for Aptitude and Drawing
The exam pattern for the Aptitude and Drawing section is as follows –
Aptitude
- Aptitude test will contain 50 objective type questions
- 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer
- 1 mark is deducted from the total score for every incorrect answer
Drawing
- The Drawing Test will consist of 2 questions
- Candidates need to attempt these questions on a separate drawing sheet
- Each question is of maximum 50 marks
- Candidates will be awarded marks as per their work on the drawing sheet
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2022: Marking Scheme
- JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 will be of 300 marks
- Paper 2 and Paper 3 will be of 400 marks
- Four marks will be awarded for each right answer
- One mark will be deducted for the wrong answer except for the Drawing Test
- Drawing Test will have 2 questions of maximum 50 marks each
- Answering more than one choice will be considered incorrect and marks will be deducted for the same
- For numerical value-based questions, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers
